chromosome number five.

at week five
our heartbeat begins
the (first of many innumerable beats)
and our blood pumps.

at week six
we form eyes/ears/nostrils/lips/elbows/and/toes.

oh my!

at week eight
our tongue is cast
apt to play the role of show and tell
to recant again and again
and also we web feet
a trellis
we become nuclear

at week nine
we print fingers.
on the surface of curves
our identity is framed?

at week ten
our eyelids fuse shut.

at week eleven
here we are made 'boigrrl'
savoir-fair
formulaic conception for roof repair

and now at lucky thirteen
functional breath
a momentary pause
a shift in frequency
the doppler effect.

at week fourteen
here come the hormones
chromosomal cues
twenty-three cobblestone and two criminal
number five.

COUP D' ETAT!

(ugh..tba... i'm getting bored)

I'm glad that you write poetry. I'm very glad that you share your poetry. Poetry is the verbal brushstroke of what we are ...ing in this world. (...ing = doing, being, feeling, understanding, interpreting ...so many "ings").

    XOXOXO!!! the...Anonymom!
